Pardon my French but haven’t you always wanted to parler a little français? What better place to start than with the Alliance Française of Hawaii, the place to go for all things French in Hawaii? Allez, on y va!
Here’s a little about our instructor: Catherine Nitelet-Vedder grew up in the French speaking part of Belgium before moving to Los Angeles in 1998 where she worked as an entertainment journalist. Her passion for writing and her native language made her also want to teach French. She has been teaching students from elementary school to adulthood since she arrived in the United States. In 2018, she moved to Oahu with her husband and two children where she has been working as a French substitute teacher at Punahou School. When she is not teaching French, she teaches Zumba en français! That fitness dance class can also be found in French on the Alliance Francaise website!
The course is being offered online via Zoom that will allow students to interact with each other as well as the instructor from the comfort of their own homes. The weekly one-hour class will go by quickly as you learn to read, write, and speak French. Invite a friend to take the course with you and be your travel companion on your weekly trip to France with the Alliance Française!
