Siegfried Ramler Fund
Ramler found his passion and calling in education Siegfried Ramler (1924-2020) helped found the AFH in 1961 and was famously known for his work as an interpreter in the Nuremberg Trials. His experience in the war and at Nuremberg left Siegfried with an enduring commitment to global cooperation. He spent 40 years at Punahou School, where he taught languages and literature, served as the Director of Instructional Services, and founded the Wo International Center. After retiring he was an Adjunct Senior Fellow at the East-West Center. This fund provides necessary funding for training of our volunteer board members by attending national workshops for exposure to other Alliance Françaises. Previous training has resulted in cost-saving measures and new ideas for better operations of our organization. |
